For my Mum who passed away recently and who loved the sea and everything to do with it, We as a family used to spend many days out fishing from Dun Laoghaire in the fireman's boat, so as a memory to my Mum we went out again and celebrated her life, Love you Mum RIP.
8km Sup race hosted by Paul from IrishSup.com . Unfortunately i could not compete due to a sore back so I brought my camera down to get a few photo's. Fair play to David Mangan for taking the win and to all for competing. Hope to be back for next week!!!!
Few days in London for the wonderful Ed Peers workshop so had a chance to go walkabout and get lost, my favourite thing to do in a new city. The blog also has a few photos from the couple shoot at the workshop.

California Camper-vanning it on the Pacific Coast Highway and Yosemite.
Kicking off an 18 day trip of a lifetime at San Francisco City taking in a few of the obligatory sights, nothing can prepare you for the beauty of the west coast, the Pacific Coast Highway and Big Sur in particular, every bend in the winding road beholds an epic view, with hidden beaches, breath-taking sunsets, magical camping spots and the enchanting forests and gargantuan trees that define Yosemite….I couldn’t recommend this trip highly enough.
Few days SUP surfing in Co. Clare and managed to dry off and get a few photographs of a beast of a swell.
My first ever attempt at a stop motion video from a good while back.
Could not sleep so got up to take some sunrise image a Colimore harbour but ended up making this instead, I know it's not perfect but it was not planned and I was fishing at the same time. I hope you enjoy , cheers Derek

Just two images from a shoot a while back with the cute as a button Matilda. I love the attitude on the first image and daddy admitted to pulling the exact same face on occasions. This is my first time trying this kind of processing for studio portraits and I think I will be experimenting more with it in the future. Please feel free to leave a comment below if you like !!!!
