Siobhan + Patrick's amazing day out

Mount Druid

Rustic Charm in the Midlands

Mount Druid is out of this world, In fact it’s undoubtedly one of Irelands most alternative wedding venues, not only was I dying to photograph a Wedding here, I got to shoot two in one week! Siobhan + Patrick were on to a winner from the start in more ways than one, what an amazing location to share your special day with friends and family. From gorgeous parkland, a lake embellished with cool sculptures plus the celebration buildings including a Tin Wedding Chapel reminiscent of old americana, a Boathouse for the drinks reception and the Vintage Barn for hosting your Wedding Feast.

The couple rocked it!, their relaxed style and demeanor really shone in the images, we captured some lovely moments during the day plus we had great craic with the wedding party and couple strolling around this magical venue. We had greenery, moody skies and an altogether excellent day! Not forgetting to mention the unusual accommodation that guests had access to from Yurts, Shepard and Tin Huts, Cottages, Boutique Camping, and even Primary Coloured Caravans Γ  la Father Ted, how Irish is that! there are so many amazing backdrops to choose from, what a venue and what a couple!

Thanks to S + P!.....it was an unforgettable day!

Louise + Richie

Kilshane House

Rainy day in Blues, Lilacs, Purples and Pinks….

It’s all in the detail and Louise + Richie’s Wedding certainly didn’t fall short on this, in fact it was epic!, starting with wedding survival kits for the girls, scrabble letters to showcase the rings, some personalised beer bottles for the lads, cool retro transport courtesy of a VW Convertible and Camper van, vintage brollies, fun signage, loveheart confetti, wine themed table place names, a photo tree, sparklers outside for a bit of night-time fun….the list is endless!

It was a rainy Day but you really can’t tell from the pics…a common question many couples ask is β€œwhat if it’s raining”, this can be answered by looking at Louise + Richie’s Wedding, this was a particularly wet day but we took our opportunities and got some great shots when there were breaks in the weather, the bridal party braved the elements and we captured so many lovely moments, the couple had some alone time in the stunning grounds of Kilshane too, a perfect photo opp, something can always be worked out and we won’t let the Irish weather put a dampener on the proceedings!

Congrats L+R, it was a pleasure to have been part of your special rainy day…….

Sarah + Adrian // Luttrellstown House

Quirky, fun, colourful Castle Wedding

Sarah + Adrian had a ball…..you can just tell from the pictures that were captured of this lovely couple. The bride embellished her look with a fabulous floral headpiece in pinks, oranges and yellows and totally brightened this brilliant day, the groom and his boys wore grey and navy and were a perfect compliment to the bridal party. After the church ceremony it was off to Luttrellstown Castle Resort in a ruby coloured vintage car.

Luckily it was a bright September day and we went walkabouts around this historic Castle and walled gardens, there was a great choice of backdrops to work with and we captured some special moments, after the photoshoot it was off to the party, congrats to this fun couple...Legends!...

Katharine + Barry // Horetown House

Rustic charm in the sunny southeast

Β

Beards and Land Rover Defenders, what’s not to like about K + B’s Wedding. I’m speaking of the bearded Grooms party of course, the hirsute guys looked dapper in their three piece suits and even managed a few sliotar passes before the ceremony, the girls on the other hand had a wee drinkie and a relaxed morning getting prepped for the festivities. After the Ceremony we got some great shots with the wedding party at an old mill which even included a rustic water wheel and some vibrant pops of colour. The couple got some alone time in the venue gardens and we captured some lovely moments. Bespoke detailing, photobooth props, a cake table plus fun touches made this Wedding truly unique. The craic was ninety with this brilliant couple and the bride got her dancing converse on too!

Fiona + Dave

Cleaver East

Pure elegance in Dublin City

Β

Elegant, modern, fun plus doggie friendly are a few words that describe Fiona + Dave’s superb Dublin City Wedding.

They decided on a β€œFirst Look” photoshoot before the ceremony, and their cute dickie bowed doggie even joined us for a couple of shots, β€œFirst Looks” are becoming more of a trend particularly for Weddings that are taking place in the winter or later in the day.

We met in Temple Bar and went for a short stroll around the area and captured some great moments with the couple. Then it was off to City Hall for the nuptials, afterwards the couple took over Cleaver East for the party!

Shooting in Dublin City is so diverse with a great choice of backdrops including graffitied walls, quirky facades, plus stunning architecture. Thanks F + D…..the craic was mighty and it was a great privilege!

2015 in pictures

Boom.... 2015 What a Year! What an Adventure....

Β

I shared the most amazing experiences with some incredible folk. I’m so lucky that the friendliest, happiest and most awesome couples who want to party their socks off, chose to work with me. I’m hoping to explore more destination weddings and looking forward to meeting more amazing couples plus constantly improve and develop my art. Thanks again to all my fab couples for letting me shoot their celebrations and of course everyone who supported me in 2015, simple Facebook likes are so appreciated!

Here’s a few images that really stood out to me. I hope you enjoy…….

Rock on 2016!!!!!

Sandy + Mark

The Harbour Bar

Awesome, awesome, awesome!

Β

Sandy + Mark show us how to do things just how you want to!

This Rockin’ couple tied the knot in the relaxed and retro Harbour Bar in the seaside town of Bray. The hip Bride wore blue and she perfectly matched her bearded Groom, who donned a dapper skull and crossbone pocket handkerchief. Their intimate, low key, no fuss Ceremony involved their cute playful daughter and afterwards it was a short stroll to Platform Pizza Bar for the Family Wedding feast, then back to the Harbour Bar for an open Mic session (alternative to formal speeches) and dancing. There was so much love in the room and what a reception room, graffiti art, quirky detailing, old school furniture, abstract artwork, it couldn’t have suited the couple any better!

Luckily it was a bright October day and we went walkabouts to capture some natural and intimate couple shots in this lovely Seaside setting. This Wedding truly represents modern Ireland and how anything goes, thanks guys for letting me be part of your celebrations!

Ballybeg House

Rockin' Day Out.....

Β

The sun was out in beautiful Wicklow for Niamh + Andrews Wedding. You can’t go wrong with Ballybeg House, it’s a one stop shop for all your celebrations plus an Oasis of charm with so many brilliant photo ops.The Lads kicked off the day with a hot tub and a tipple in the venues grounds, the bride exuded effortless elegance as herself and her girls got ready in Grouse Lodge. The Ceremony took place in Ayers Ceremony room and after the guests were treated to some great tunes performed by some of the groomsmen.  We had great craic with the large Wedding Party and the couple also accessorised with some oversized balloons. Selfie sticks, mini Jack Daniels Wedding favours, a Hilarious Photobooth in a graffitied London cab all added something special to this fab celebration.

The couple partied their asses off too! Congrats N+A!

Trudder Lodge

Relaxed elegance for this Sunny celebration

Β

Elegant Bride + Dickie-bowed Groom + Gorgeous Venue all equals a visual Wedding Feast! Aoibhinn and John had the ultimate Irish Wedding, great weather, lovely friends and family. The style was reminiscent of Old Hollywood complete with a vintage car, this cute couple were happy-out and relaxed which made my job so much easier as we captured some fantastic moments around the lovely venue grounds, the proof is in the pudding {as they say}....Great day, great couple!.....Thanks A+J

Glenview Hotel

Gorgeous Outdoor Wedding in the Garden of Ireland

Β

County Wicklow is aptly named the Garden of Ireland and this is where a gorgeous English-Irish union took place, Jennifer and Richard were adamant on an outdoor Ceremony, luckily for them the Irish rain stayed away and they shared their nuptials in one of the most green and picturesque ceremonies that I’ve been privileged to shoot all nestled in the Wicklow Hills. After a walkabout and some casual shots it was back to the venue to party the night away. Dinner, dancing and great craic with friends, a winning combo as are Jennifer + Richard, congrats to this lovely couple!

Lyrath Estate

Picture Perfect Wedding in lovely Kilkenny

Β

Sarah + Joseph lucked out with some sunny Irish weather for their β€œI Do’s”. After the ceremony they travelled in their retro 1970’s Mercedes to the venue, we went walkabout and captured some gorgeous moments all set against a fantastic choice of unspoilt views, Ireland doesn’t get any better when the sun is shining! Leafy greens, lovely light and tranquil waters, what a day!

Huge thanks to this relaxed couple, we had so much fun capturing such a memorable day, congrats Sarah + Joseph!
