Tips for choosing images -

An easy way to start is by choosing your favourite images, hopefully there will be loads, then you could break down the day and consider the following categories -

  • Details / Setting the scene / location

  • Bride / Partner  - getting ready / poignant moments

  • Details - shoes, dress, flowers, gifts, perfume etc

  • Groom / Partner -  getting ready / poignant moments

  • Details - shoes, suit, cufflinks, drinks, etc

  • Before the Ceremony - Favourite Bride / Partner images once ready and fully dressed

  • Transport to the ceremony / shots before the ceremony

  • Groom / Partner awaiting their other half at ceremony

  • Entering the ceremony / First kiss

  • Favourite and most poignant ceremony moments - Couple, Wedding Party, Family, Guests (exchanging vows / kiss / leaving the ceremony) details (rings, candles, signing of register)

  • Favourite couple shots outside ceremony

  • Family Shots

  • Transport to reception

  • Venue

  • Photoshoot - Couple

  • Photoshoot - Wedding Party, Bridal Party, Grooms Party

  • Venue - Drinks Reception / Guests, Music, Details, Food

  • Couple before they enter the reception

  • Couple entering their reception

  • Speeches / Musicians / First Dance

  • Dancing

Think about the page as a whole and the overall spread with this in mind think about the colour palettes and how certain images will work together.

  • Consider keeping colour or black and white images on separate page spreads.

  • Perhaps a dedicated Black and White or Colour only page.

  • Consider - Showcasing several standout images

  • Family combinations from both sides

  • Details, Fun moments

Remember this is something that you’ll cherish as a future keepsake so consider your emotional response to images and what your standout memories of the day were, the main thing is to suit your taste and include the images you both like.

Vendor Love

How many images will we get?

On average we provide anywhere from 500 to 900 fully edited images.

Where can I find your prices?

To receive my current price guide, please click on ‘CONTACT’ in the menu and fill in the short contact form. I’d love to hear from you!

When can we see the photos of our Wedding Day?

We turn around your images in 6 - 8 weeks depending on our workflow at the time. But this can be slightly longer in peak wedding season and a good deal quicker at certain times of the year.

Will there be an online gallery to share with family and friends?

Absolutely, we provide your own private gallery which is password protected.

It’s the easiest way to share your photos with family and friends.

If we choose an Album how long would we have to wait to receive it?

Albums take an additional 6-8 weeks once your images are chosen. I use suppliers from all over the world so some lead time is necessary. If you want your Album for a particular date, in order to avoid disappointment I advise couples to add 3 weeks on especially if you’re looking for your album prior to Christmas.

Do I have to decide on an album when I book the date?

Not at all, if you prefer you can book the standard package now and make a decision on albums later – even after the wedding, many couples prefer this option as they can pay later on if they choose to get an album.

What is the Stop motion video?

A Stop motion video is a great alternative to a wedding video, it’s basically a series of your images animated to tell the story of your day all set to some contemporary music. I also supply snippets of stop motion footage in your slideshow as standard.

Do you Travel?

Indeed I do. I shoot weddings all over Ireland and abroad, I love to travel and shoot destination weddings in different countries. Additional charges may apply dependant on the location.

I live abroad and can’t meet to discuss Wedding Plans, Is that ok?

No problem at all, I can provide all information via email and we can chat via phone, or skype to have face to face meetings at your convenience.

Do you require a booking deposit and when is the final balance due?

To book and hold the date a deposit of €450 is required. If booking the standard package the final balance is due on or before your Wedding Day. If you are ordering an album too the cost is broken down again.

Do you offer images in colour and black and white?

Yes I do, you will receive a mix of black + white and colour images.

Do you take formal family photographs on the day also?

Yes I do, I like to make this as quick and fun as possible, I usually try to get all family combinations photographed in under 10 minutes depending on family sizes.

Will we be a long time taking photographs?

Not at all, I believe it’s so important that the Wedding Couple get back to the party and enjoy quality time with their guests, the photo shoot can be as long or as short as you guys want. I won’t expect you to perform or spend hours posing. Maybe just a short walk around the location.

Do you take photographs of the guests?

Yes I love to capture all those poignant moments, my documentary approach will blend into the events and celebration of your day and you’ll receive a cache of candid shots of your guests.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am fully insured.

Do we get copyright of our images?

Copyright is complicated but in a nutshell Memento Photography keeps copyright but grants clients the right to do practically anything with their photos with the exception of commercial use, this is standard practice within the Wedding Industry.
