What I love about this venue

I was lucky enough to have shot one of the early weddings at Cloughjordan House and have been so impressed with how the venue has grown and become one of the best in the business.

The Exterior of the House itself is a perfect backdrop with the colours changing dramatically due to the different seasons and also offers lots of accommodation options on site which is great for guests and family.

Also Games on the lawn are a winner in my bookCloughjordan House has several options for ceremonies and amazing grounds to go for a short walk with the couple.

The staff are super friendly and accommodating and this comes from the top down with the owners Peter + Sarah and the wedding coordinator Jessica being a joy to be around and are fully committed and involved in making sure the day goes smoothly and I also look forward to seeing Peter's Landrover Defender, she's a wee beauty :-)

Weddings at Clonwilliam House

VENDOR LOVE

ClonwilliaM

House

Location

Co. Wicklow , Ireland

Type of venue

Text from their website: Clonwilliam House is the private home of Richard and Miriam Clune and their four boys. Set dramatically on top of the wooded hills that surround the Vale of Avoca. Driving up the tree-lined avenue is like stepping back in time to a more romantic, gentler world. It is hard not to get poetic about the magic of this place, hard not to fall in love with the romance of it.

What I love about this venue

Clonwilliam House is a venue that always excites me for so many reasons, even the drive up through the estate gets the creative mind flowing, you really feel remote and away from everyday life, it's a great escapism for you and your family and friends.

I love the flexibility Clonwilliam House has in regards to ceremony locations and drinks receptions, with a couple of options for both the indoor and outdoor spaces. The indoor swimming pool in the basement is just amazing with a mini bar their too, always a good start to the wedding morning. Not many venues have owners like Miriam, she is very hands-on in all of the running of the day and is hugely accommodating to the couple and us vendors and just a really lovely person to be around, they also drive a Landrover Defender, so loving that!!

Weddings at Ballybeg House

Vendor LoVe

Ballybeg

House

Location

Wicklow , Ireland

Type of venue

Text from their website : A country home away from home for intimate and unique wedding experiences over a three day period

What I love about this venue

I love the idea of a place you book for 3 days, people seem more at ease and have that at Home feel. Like most of the venues I love, Ballybeg House has stunning backdrops for photography and so many different on site locations to explore. A couple of years ago they built pods for guest accommodation in the forest area surrounded by 300-year-old Spanish chestnut, birch and oak trees. for me this was a game changer as this area has now become my favourite place to bring the couple for a quick couple shoot and to get away for a bit of time to themselves, it's a natural short loop so perfect for keeping on the move and getting back to the party!!

Oh and’s it’s VERY dog friendly :-)

As far as getting ready options you are spoilt at Ballybeg House, Grouce Lodge is a short drive away from the main area and is nestled in a wild and beautiful Wicklow setting, I love this spot so much!!! you also have the main House and the Dairy.

I'm always the first to suggest the Canadian hot tub as a possible morning activity, not much persuasion is need on that one.
The Ayers ceremony room and Marquee finish off this venue to perfection and lets not forget the star of the show Tee the on-site wedding planner, she goes above and beyond and is just a lovely person to be around.

Weddings at Trudder Lodge

Venue LoVe

Trudder

Lodge

Location

 Newcastle, Co. Wicklow, Ireland

Type of venue

Text from their website : Trudder Lodge is not a wedding venue; it is your home for the weekend and the setting for a wedding celebration as unique as you are. Unburdened by the restraints of hotel catering and décor, celebrations at Trudder Lodge are utterly bespoke so that your wedding weekend can be exactly what you want it to be. You can choose a caterer from a panel, enlist your talented Aunt to gild the courtyard marquee, drape ribbons from the marquee ceiling and serve pink champagne to all assembled. Trudder Lodge has seen extravagant white weddings, celebrations in riotous colour, suave garden parties and festivals that span a spectrum of cultures and traditions.

What I love about this venue

Trudder Lodge has so many amazing backdrops for photos, even the walk from the car park through the woods to the house is amazing and is lit up at night. They also have lots of different options for your ceremony dependent on weather and your taste, recently they cleared a space in front of the main house under a huge tree for ceremonies and I was lucky enough to be one of the first to shoot a wedding their, Picture can be seen below.

Also they have very friendly staff and owners which is always so important in my opinion.

The Dean is a small wedding venue that can accommodates up to 120 people and has

Urban-chic rooms & suites in a contemporary hotel with a hip rooftop restaurant, a terrace & a bar.

What I love about this venue

Every room has its own uniqueness with so many different coloured walls and amazing attention to detail. I love thinking outside of the box when shooting weddings and this venues alternative funky look really enhances the quirk factor
